White Mountain Puzzles

White Mountain Puzzles began its journey in 1978, founded by two New Hampshire entrepreneurs, Cronan Minton and Ted Wroblewski. Initially a small poster company, it evolved into a prominent puzzle brand after discovering the unexpected popularity of a "Portland, Maine" poster when converted into a jigsaw puzzle. Unlike some rapid-growth companies, White Mountain Puzzles experienced a more gradual ascent, remaining a family-owned business. Today, the day-to-day operations and ownership have transitioned to their respective sons, Sean Minton and Colin Wroblewski, who continue to uphold the company's commitment to quality and unique designs, often featuring nostalgic collage images.

Every White Mountain Puzzle is proudly manufactured in America. The company's headquarters are located in the picturesque town of Jackson, New Hampshire, situated within the White Mountain National Forest. While their main office is in Jackson, their manufacturing facilities are specifically noted to be in Tipton, Indiana, and Holyoke, Massachusetts. These domestic production sites allow them to maintain stringent quality control and produce their distinctive puzzles, which are known for being made of sturdy blue chipboard on recycled paper with soy-based inks. In 2018, White Mountain Puzzles was even honored to represent New Hampshire at the White House for the "Made in America Showcase," highlighting their dedication to domestic manufacturing.
