BIG Wall Decor was founded by Nick Ford, who was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After a significant career in printing for high-fashion luxury brands, Ford realized there was a gap in the art market for large, affordable, and durable wall art. He saw that the reasons brands loved massive signs—their affordability, durability compared to canvas, and ease of shipping—could also benefit consumers wanting to make a statement with art in their homes. This led him to create BIG Wall Décor, partnering with emerging artists to repurpose luxury signage technology into accessible, oversized artwork, aiming to make significant art available to everyone.
BIG Wall Decor manufactures its innovative two-part wall art system entirely in the United States. Their factory and offices are located in Muskegon, Michigan. This allows them to handle all aspects of production in-house, from making the frames and printing the artwork to sewing the beading onto the prints. This commitment to domestic manufacturing ensures high quality control and allows them to maintain their mission of providing durable, affordable, and easily shippable large-scale art.
